Product overview
SyncSol MTPC 8290 is a polyester masking tape with a heat-resistant silicone adhesive: a 25 µm polyester film, 50 µm thick overall, with adhesion to steel of 900 g per inch and a listed temperature resistance of 250 ℃. Long-term resistance is given as 220 ℃ for 7 hours or 200 ℃ for 24 hours.
It resists the acids and chemicals used in powder coating and comes off in one piece without residue. The bright blue colour is easy to spot by eye and by automatic detection, and its controlled unwind force makes it easy to work with.
MTPC 8290 is the thinner powder coating grade; MTPC 8291 uses a 50 µm film and carries a higher listed rating.
