Product overview
SyncSol ETGC 8849 combines a 130 µm glass cloth backing with a heat-curing silicone adhesive for a total thickness of 165 µm. The construction conforms to H-class insulation, resists abrasion at elevated temperature and carries a temperature rating of 400 ℃, with a dielectric strength of 3.5 kV.
The glass cloth gives the tape high mechanical strength and good abrasion resistance, while the adhesive delivers an adhesion to steel of 600 g/inch. It is flame retardant and is also offered in high-, medium- and low-tack variants, as well as with a thermosetting rubber adhesive.
For best results, apply to a clean, dry, dust-free surface with even, firm pressure. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and use within 12 months of the date of manufacture.
