Product overview
SyncSol ETGC 8829 is a single-sided, plain-woven glass cloth tape coated with a solvent-based acrylic adhesive. The 130 µm cloth gives a total thickness of 170 µm, with adhesion to steel of 900 g per inch, strength of 1,180 N per 5 cm and dielectric strength of at least 2 kV.
It provides class F insulation, with temperature resistance listed at 150 ℃. The glass cloth backing gives high mechanical strength and abrasion resistance, and the tape is flame retardant — strong enough for tension strapping of coils and armature windings.
