Product overview
SyncSol TCDP 4640 is a transparent double-sided tape with a 12 µm polyester (PET) carrier and tackified solvent acrylic adhesive — 100 µm on the open side and 93 µm on the closed side — for 205 µm in total. Adhesion to steel is 1,500 g per inch on both sides, on an MOPP release liner.
It bonds reliably to rough surfaces and low-surface-energy (LSE) substrates, and the joint is usable straight after assembly. The tape copes with heat and cold, with an operating temperature of 180 ℃, and suits applications with heavy stress or critical substrates.
TCDP 4640 has a thicker adhesive build and higher operating temperature than TCDP 4650.
