Product overview
SyncSol SSST 2240 is developed for sealing the seams of coveralls and protective garments made from non-woven fabrics. It uses a specially treated 25 µm film backing with a 65 µm EVA adhesive coating that carries antibacterial properties, giving a total thickness of 90 µm.
The tape is applied at room temperature and bonds quickly, with high adhesion that keeps seams closed during wear. It is waterproof, which makes it suited to PPE suits for doctors and health professionals working in infectious environments, where an unbroken seam is essential. Elongation in the machine direction is 50 % and roll ball tack is 1 cm.
Its heat resistance is 60 ℃, so SSST 2240 is meant for room-temperature sealing rather than hot processes. For heat-activated seam bonding, see SHST 2245.
