Product overview
SyncSol SHST 2245 is a heat-activated seam sealing tape made from specially treated PE film, 150 µm thick. The backing fuses at 110 ℃ ±10 ℃ and the adhesive at 80 ℃, so the tape bonds into the seam under hot air and pressure, closing it against water, dust and germs.
For best results, bond with hot air at 330 ℃ and press firmly. The fabric should be clean, dry and free of dust, and even, firm pressure gives the most consistent adhesion. The film is highly extensible, with elongation above 600 %, a breaking strength of at least 200 kg/cm² and a tensile strength of 250 kg/cm².
SHST 2245 is supplied in blue, in 20 mm × 200 m rolls. Where hot-air bonding equipment is not available, the room-temperature SSST 2240 is the alternative.
