Product overview
SyncSol RKPW 5128 is a reinforced kraft paper tape based on 65 gsm brown kraft paper with a water-activated potato starch adhesive coated at 19–38 gsm. Total thickness is 120 µm. Paper and adhesive are both biodegradable, so cartons sealed with it can be recycled without removing the tape.
When wetted, the starch adhesive takes hold almost immediately and fuses with the carton surface, strengthening the box. Data sheet values include a minimum dry tack of 350 g/25 mm, maximum open time of 13 seconds, a minimum 95% rupture area and surface moisture of 15.0 ± 3.5%, for use at ambient temperature.
The tape can be printed on request.
