Product overview
SyncSol SDRT 2975 is an 18 gsm paper tissue coated on both sides with a soluble acrylic adhesive and supplied on a release liner. Total thickness is 100 µm, adhesion to steel is 1,000 g/inch, and the temperature rating is 120 ℃.
The adhesive dissolves in water and disperses in alkali, so splices go back into the pulp with the broke. This avoids the poor-quality paper and plugged Fourdrinier screens that rubber-based splicing media can cause.
It has performed well on light-weight coated (LWC) papers, particularly coated gravure grades, including those with alkaline coatings or stearate sizing. Keep unused tape in sealed plastic bags to hold its moisture content steady.
