Product overview
SyncSol SAGT 1803 fuses 18 µm aluminium foil to a 90 gsm fibreglass cloth (8 × 8 mesh/cm) and coats it with 25 µm of solvent acrylic adhesive. Total thickness is 175 µm, adhesion to steel is 1,800 g/inch, and the tape is supplied on a paper release liner.
The foil face reflects both heat and light, and its very low moisture vapour transmission rate makes the tape an effective vapour barrier. The glass cloth reinforcement adds good abrasion resistance, and the construction as a whole is flame retardant.
Apply to clean, dry, dust-free surfaces with firm, even pressure. Store cool and dry, out of direct sunlight, and use within 12 months of manufacture.
