Product overview
SyncSol SAFT 5470 is a thick, grey, double-coated acrylic foam tape supplied with a liner. The multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both faces bonds to a broad range of high and medium surface energy substrates, including metals, glass and many paints and plastics. The conformable foam keeps good contact even when the two parts are slightly mismatched.
As a pressure-sensitive tape it bonds on contact, giving immediate handling strength, and the permanent bond also seals against water and moisture. It can replace rivets, welds, screws or liquid adhesives, keeps surfaces smooth with a virtually invisible joint, and allows thinner, lighter and dissimilar materials to be used.
SAFT 5470 is supplied in 12 mm and 24 mm widths and is especially suited to automotive exterior attachments.
